Winter nighttime vibes. This track represents a new direction and path i’m choosing in life. I decided that working 7-5 in a corporate office, 5 days a week, is a ridiculous way to spend your youth. I resigned from my job so I can focus on what I enjoy. I’m moving to Byron Bay in a few weeks to make beats, surf, read, learn and travel. While I’ll be earning 1/10th of the money, i’ll be stoked every single day knowing that i’m doing exactly what I want to do.

Taylor Steele is no doubt one of the best producers of modern day surf films hands down. Modern Collective, Sipping Jetstreams & the sequel, Castles In The Sky, are epic visual adventures which document ‘how new veins of travel enhance the experience of riding waves’. All the films have great soundtracks which set the mood and really draw you in the the whole strangely emotional experience, similar to the epic snowboarding film The Art Of Flight.

I was lucky enough to share some waves this morning in northern NSW with Rasta and a pod of dolphins, while most of the crowd was checking out the Quiksilver Pro - Stoked!

Young Brisbane producer Charles Murdoch (Rio Lobotomy, Mitzi) has been busy in the studio lately. His new track Eciov is a Uk influenced number with lush chords rising like waves, nurtured by a sea of reverb, giving the entire track a subaquatic feel. Small crabs are obviously snapping their claws together assisting Charlie to apply his signature minimal percussion sound. You can catch Charlie playing in Brisbane at various nights, more recently at the Bright Future parties.
